Norman Rockwell was an academic painter with an eye of a photographer.  As he became a mature artist, he used this eye to give us a picture of America that was familiar, and at the same time unique. Most known for “The Saturday Evening Post” magazine covers, he also provided covers for many other magazines over his 47 year career.
