Our Home
Somewhat historic. No name is better known in the Minong area than Link. You see it on billboards and advertising the family’s auto and RV dealership, and Jack Link Beef Jerky (billion dollar empire headquartered in Minong), and more. Wilfred “Wolf“ Link (father to Jack Link) and brother Francis Link, started the Ford dealership across the street in 1946 (same year Jack Link was born). Francis and his wife Shirley built and moved into this home sometime later. Francis died in 1987, the property was sold in 2006 after Shirley died in 2005. Some of the original Link furniture was conveyed and still exists. Fantastic house, unique, one of a kind, very cozy, bright and spacious fortress. Economical to heat and cool ($75/mo gas). No bursts of hot or cold air from wasteful duct vents. I love the small town convenience to services. Dollar General is only a half block away, gas station, hardware store and bank 1 block away, Hensons groceries, the senior center, Wendy’s restaurants are 2 blocks away, the Post Office, fire department/EMC and medical clinic are 3 blocks away. The front valet driveway is convenient and provides extra guest parking. Lots of wildlife, birds, squirrels, deer, rabbits. Easy access to snowmobile trails. Many local fishing and hunting areas. Unique pet cemetery in back yard (6 concrete head stones of Link's dogs from the 50’s). The Jack Links Aquatic and Activity Center is one block away |
