Norman Rockwell Museum of Art
Founded in 1969, this museum has the world's largest and most significant collection of Rockwell drawings and paintings. Located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts at 9 Glendale Road. This 36-acre site overlooks the Housatonic River Valley. In fact, many of Rockwell’s drawings and paintings were drawn and inspired by the local town and its very own residents. Visitors to the Rockwell Museum will not only delight in the art exhibits but also be captivated by today’s locals who are likely the children and great grandchildren of some of Rockwell’s original art inspirations. The Norman Rockwell Museum is open 7 days a week except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. Caravan’s guided New England tour follows Route 7 north through the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts to the Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. |
