Kenneth E. Myer Sr., 79, St. Cloud, Wis., died comfortably at home Thursday, Jan. 5, after battling illness for the last several years. He was born Apr. 26, 1932, in Mosinee, Wis., son of the late Ransom and Henrietta (Rentmeester) Myer. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, serving in Germany during the Korean War. On Oct. 1, 1959, Kenneth married Doris Mae Richter in Waukegan, Ill. The couple lived most of their married life in Sheboygan County. In his early years he worked for the Milwaukee County Highway Department, Geibs Construction and retired in 1994 from Bemis Manufacturing Company in Sheboygan Falls after 25 years. He was an entrepreneur and had a whitewashing business in the 1970s. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed welding and engines and spending time working on his many projects. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Doris, St. Cloud; two daughters, Karen Myer, Sheboygan Falls and Kolleen Myer, Sheboygan Falls; one son, Kenneth Myer, Jr. (special friend, Kim), Elmhurst, Ill.; special family friend, Sheryl Myer; eight grandchildren, David, Stacey, Kenny III, Tiffany, Alyssa, James Newman Jr., John Newman, Christopher Ertel and one great-granddaughter, Samantha Rain-Hecker Newman.
